Ethiopia deserves a world-class landmark

Sky Ethiopia is Africa's first immersive flying theater — a motion platform experience that lifts you into the sky and carries you across the country's most awe-inspiring places. Wind rushes past, the scent of Ethiopian highland air fills the theater, and the most extraordinary nation on earth unfolds beneath you.

We are building something Ethiopians will be proud of for generations — and something the world will travel to Addis Ababa specifically to experience.

01

Government-Backed

Invited by the Ethiopian Tourism Organization to be part of the Addis Ababa Corridor Development Project — PM Abiy Ahmed's 132km urban transformation.

02

World-Class Technology

The same suspended motion-platform system used in FlyOver Las Vegas, Wings Over Washington, and Disney's Soarin' — brought to Africa for the first time.

03

Exclusively Ethiopian Film

A fully original 12-minute aerial film produced exclusively for Sky Ethiopia — covering every landmark from Lalibela to the Renaissance Dam, never seen before in a flying theater anywhere in the world.

04

Africa's First

No immersive flying theater exists anywhere across East Africa's 500 million people. Sky Ethiopia is the first — and it will be Ethiopian.

What happens when you fly

01 Abay opens the sky
The theater darkens. On the giant curved screen, dawn breaks over the Simien Mountains. Abay — our Lammergeier spirit guide — spreads his wings and calls you to follow. Wind touches your face for the first time.
02 Your seat lifts into flight
The platform rises. Your feet dangle freely. You tilt forward over the edge and for one breathtaking moment — you are flying. The Simien peaks drop away below you into cloud.
03 12 minutes over Ethiopia
Lalibela from 300 metres. The Danakil's acid lakes in vivid yellow and green. The Blue Nile crashing into its canyon. The Renaissance Dam in first light. Ethiopia — all of it — in 12 minutes.
04 Wind, mist, and scent
As you soar over the Blue Nile Falls the mist reaches you. Over the highlands, the scent of Ethiopian mountain air — eucalyptus and red earth — fills the theater. Every sense is in Ethiopia.
05 Land in Addis Ababa
Abay leads you home over the Addis Ababa skyline — the African Union glittering below, Ethiopian Airlines planes banking toward Bole. The city you are standing in, seen from the sky. You land. Changed.

The sky is waiting.
